Following an outstanding conference in Paris, we are delighted to organize the 32nd Annual meeting of the European Academy of Childhood Disability in the beautiful city of Poznan, Poland. The conference will take place at the Poznan Congress Center, from June 17th to 20th 2020.
The choice for Poznan is not accidental. Poznan, the capital of Wielkopolska Region, is a very modern and rapidly developing city, widely recognized as a center of developmental medicine and rehabilitation both in Poland and across Europe, among other based on the invaluable contribution on the treatment of polio made by Professor Wiktor Dega. It will be a great honour for us to host the participants of the conference here, in this unique city.
The main goals of the conference are to present the latest knowledge, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic trends, and to create a forum for meetings and interdisciplinary discussions between specialists in the field of childhood disabilities including among other: physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, pedagogues, and speech therapists. The problems to be addressed during the conference are centered around the difficult process of growing up and crossing the border into adulthood together with the disability persisting since childhood as reflected by our theme: “From Childhood to Adulthood with Disability”. The discussion will involve all the key elements supporting the process of age transition and facilitating the therapeutic management. In addition, I am more than happy to invite you to join our planned transatlantic webinar – a live transmission of orthopaedic procedures from operating rooms worldwide – entitled Mini-invasive techniques in paediatric orthopaedics a few days before the actual Annual Meeting.
